Hazard Communication

Many workplaces use chemicals that can pose health and safety risks if not properly understood. The hazards associated with these substances are not always visible or immediately recognized, making it essential for employees to understand how they may be exposed, how chemicals behave, and how to protect themselves during use, handling, and storage. Bonneville Safety’s Hazard Communication course provides training to help employees and employers better understand those hazards and work safely with them.

Understanding the hazards employees are working with starts with knowing how to interpret the information provided on hazard labels and safety data sheets (SDS). This training focuses on what those hazards mean in the workplace and the actions needed to reduce risk during normal work activities.

The training is aligned with the Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200).
