Older buildings and certain materials still in use may contain asbestos that can become hazardous when disturbed during maintenance, repair, or minor renovation. These mineral fibers are not visible and can be inhaled without immediate warning, often during routine tasks. Because the effects of asbestos exposure can take decades to develop, it is possible to go through an entire career without realizing the health impact. If that illness appears later in life, it will affect enjoyment of retirement and the time that should be spent with family and friends.
Bonneville Safety’s Asbestos Awareness training provides the knowledge needed to recognize these risks and work safely around them. Our training helps employees understand where asbestos-containing materials may be present, how exposure can occur, what OSHA requires, and the importance of avoiding disturbance.
This course reinforces awareness-level responsibilities and is intended for general awareness only. It does not qualify employees to perform asbestos abatement.
